Born on January 8, 2001, in China’s Anhui Province, she was found as an infant at a police station with a note asking for her care. She later began a new life in the United States, becoming a citizen in December 2001 and arriving in San Francisco to join her adoptive family. Her given name, “Mei An,” meaning “Beautiful Peace,” symbolized both her origins and the life she would go on to build.
In her community of Grass Valley, Mei became widely known for her outgoing personality and her genuine interest in others. In recent years, she discovered a love for motorcycles, quickly becoming an active part of the local riding scene. Friends recall her enthusiasm for the open road and her eagerness to share that experience with others.
Beyond her interests, Mei is remembered for her kindness and her ability to create lasting connections. Those who knew her say she had a rare gift for making people feel seen and valued.
