It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Monsignor Robert Willhite, who peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Prime Healthcare Fox Knoll Village in Aurora, IL, where he had been residing. A faithful servant of God, Monsignor Willhite dedicated his life to his ministry and was a source of inspiration for all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the countless people he touched through his service to the Church.
Monsignor Willhite was a man of profound faith and devotion, offering spiritual guidance and support to many throughout his years of service. His teachings and leadership were a beacon of light to all who sought his counsel. His dedication to God, his parish, and the community will never be forgotten.
A visitation in his honor will take place on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at St. Rita of Cascia Parish in Aurora, IL. During this time, family, friends, and parishioners are invited to gather and offer their prayers, condolences, and memories of Monsignor Willhite.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Rita of Cascia Parish. Before the funeral Mass, a final visitation will take place from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m., giving everyone the opportunity to express their respect and love for Monsignor Willhite.
Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Monsignor Willhite is now in the presence of the Lord, where he will find eternal peace. His life was a testament to the power of faith, service, and love.
