Born on March 27, 1990, in Sexsmith, Alberta, Ray was the eldest of four brothers. From an early age, he was known for his fearless and adventurous spirit, a quality that his parents, Barry and Lynnette, fondly remember. Ray was never one to shy away from trying something new or taking risks, a trait that stayed with him throughout his life. Though not all of his adventures turned out as planned, they provided endless stories that continue to bring smiles and laughter to his family and friends.
Ray’s love for sports began at a young age, and he spent countless hours playing and competing. The friendships he formed during those years were some of the most meaningful and enduring relationships in his life. Whether on the field or off, Ray valued the bond of teamwork and camaraderie that sports provided, and those friendships stayed with him as he grew older.
Ray’s greatest joy came when he met Jenn, the love of his life. From the moment they found each other, they created a world full of laughter, love, and shared adventures. Ray was Jenn’s biggest cheerleader and unwavering support, always there to offer a helping hand and an encouraging word. Together, they built a beautiful life, but their greatest joy came with the arrival of their daughter, Raelynn.
